Get Started with ComStack
What you’ll have at the end
A live website, reachable at your comstack.ai URL, published through a conversation with Claude. From connecting Claude to your first published page takes under 30 minutes — no forms, no dashboard, no drag-and-drop.
Before you start
You need:
- A Google account for sign-in
- Claude (web, desktop, or mobile) or Claude Code in your terminal
- A clear idea of what your business does and what content you want to go live first
You do not need technical knowledge, existing website files, or anything set up in advance.
Step 1 — Connect Claude
Go to account.comstack.ai/connectors and open the Claude card.
- Click Add to Claude — Claude’s “Add custom connector” dialog opens.
- Copy the Name (
ComStack) and Server URL (https://api.comstack.ai/mcp) and paste both into the dialog. - Click Connect — a sign-in popup opens from ComStack. Sign in with Google.
- Claude shows ComStack connected.
Claude Code users: run claude mcp add --transport http ComStack https://api.comstack.ai/mcp in your terminal instead.
Time: under 5 minutes.
Step 2 — Create your project
Start a new conversation with Claude and say:
“Create a ComStack project for [your business name].”
Claude calls the setup tool and confirms your project is ready. This takes about 30 seconds.
Step 3 — Publish your first pages
Tell Claude what you need:
“Create a homepage and an About page for my [type of business].”
Claude drafts both pages, shows you the content in chat, and asks for approval. When you confirm, it publishes. Your pages are live within the same conversation.
Edit in plain language:
“Make the headline shorter.” “Add a contact section at the bottom.” “Use a warmer tone throughout.”
Each edit creates a draft you review before it goes live. Nothing publishes without your approval.
Step 4 — Add content with the Chrome Extension
Install the ComStack Chrome Extension — the download link is in the Chrome Extension card at account.comstack.ai/connectors.
To install:
- Download the zip file from the Chrome Extension card.
- Extract the zip to a folder on your computer.
- Open
chrome://extensions/in Chrome. - Enable Developer mode using the toggle in the top-right corner.
- Click Load unpacked → select the folder you extracted.
To add a page: Open any webpage in Chrome, click the extension icon in the toolbar, and click Extract This Page. The extension analyzes the page and automatically selects the best page type for your project. Review and edit the extracted content in the side panel, then save it as a draft. Tell Claude to publish when you’re ready.
AI enrichment: After saving, the extension can optionally run further AI analysis on the draft — for real estate listings this means reading property photos to add view descriptions, materials, and finish details. The enrichment toggle is on by default; you can turn it off for any individual save.
Smart duplicate detection: If you’ve already captured this page, the extension shows a notice with a direct link to the existing draft — so you never create duplicates by accident.
Sidebar groups: If your project uses sidebar groups to organise pages, you can assign a group in the editor. If the right group doesn’t exist yet, click “Create new group” in the dropdown to add it inline without leaving the extension.
Useful for: property listings to import, articles to adapt, service pages to reference.
Step 5 — Go multilingual
Tell Claude:
“Publish my homepage in German too.”
ComStack handles the translation and creates a separate German URL automatically. Adding a language creates translation drafts for all existing pages; tell Claude to publish when the drafts are ready. You can add any of the supported languages at any point — no extra setup per language.
Common first questions
Do I need to set up hosting or a domain?
No. Your project gets a live comstack.ai URL the moment you publish. You can connect a custom domain later — ask Claude: “Add a custom domain to my project.”
Can I edit a page after it’s published?
Yes. Describe the change to Claude and it creates a draft update. The live page stays up until you approve and publish the new version.
What if I want to add pages without opening Claude?
Use the Chrome Extension. Open any page in Chrome, extract it with one click, and it appears as a draft in your project. The extension picks the right page type automatically. Tell Claude to publish when you’re ready.
How does Claude know what’s in my project?
Claude reads your project in real time through the ComStack connector. It sees all your pages, drafts, templates, and settings.
Is there a limit on how many pages I can publish?
Your plan sets the limit. Trial projects start with a small cap so you can test the full workflow before choosing a plan. Ask Claude: “What’s my current page limit?”
Can I undo a publish?
Yes. Tell Claude “revert the last publish” within one hour and it will restore the previous version.
Can my team access the project?
Yes. Ask Claude: “Invite jane@company.com to my project.” They receive an invite link, connect their own Claude to the same project, and can create and publish pages straight away. Trial projects allow up to 2 members.
Where do I manage billing and my plan?
Go to account.comstack.ai/billing to view your plan, credit balance, and business information.
