How the estimate works
We divide the room area by the area of one tile, add 10% for offcuts and breakage, and round up to a whole tile. Diagonal layouts and rooms with many corners can need 15% instead.
The grout figure assumes a 3 millimetre joint filled 8 millimetres deep with standard cement grout. Wider joints or thicker tiles need proportionally more.
